The Danes have been making headlines with their public dissections of animals--one giraffe and one lion, as well as others.

Like public anatomies of the past, it is considered educational. Today, there are more issues at hand--animal rights, understanding food, the innocence of children, etc. etc. Nonetheless, the zoo has made statements on each of these topics. An interesting topic, no matter where you stand.
